Out on the road at last...

Well after a dismal start to January with all training activities confined to the dreaded turbo - we got out this weekend. Not to do things by halfs - we went out on Saturday and Sunday - all in all about 7 hours and 105 miles, nice and steady L2 stuff so keeping Paul's plan happy.
There are threats of "sweetspot" training coming up and I can't quite get my head around when the season is going to start - talking myself out of a very early start to it like last year and hoping that a slightly later start will be positive for the training to take more and more of an effect....

Not quite the January I hoped for...

Well what more can I say - the great British weather has seemingly made turbo-ites out of the masses trying to build a base! Should be an interesting season - my hubbie thinks people may have a very strong early season and then die because of the lack of actual road mileage there will be evident. Hopefully putting faith in heart rate zones I won't be one of those ;-)

With the provisional dates all being out it looks like I may be having another outing early season at the Nova CC 2up 25 with Carl. Was quite a good course we did it last year and it seems like it still offers some pretty good "building up" logic to do it... other fairly early dates are the fast Welsh 25 course - the weather's so hit and miss early season though hummmm lots to consider :-)

Minus 20?! wft?!!!!

I am totally turbo bound at the moment and am starting to think I might come unstuck the next time (If ever) I actually go out on the road and need to go round a corner...
Going to be starting to play on my TT bike on the turbo - been A LONG time since I have had to be in the aero position so that's going to be interesting.
With the open dates coming out it's pretty exciting really - Carl and I entered the Nova CC two up as our first competitive event in '09 and we will probably do the same this year too.

First of many

This is the place I am going to keep coming back to - to record training developments and when the season start (Can't wait!) update my results that I will have worked bl00dy hard to achieve!
